Banana Chocolate Bread

This banana bread recipe is easily the best one I have tried, and to make it even better I always add a few chocolate chips. Obviously not as healthy, but it does really improve my mood everytime I bite into one of these banana bread slices.

Ingredients:

  • 2 c flour
  • 1 t baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 150g butter, melted
  • Ā¾ c brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2-3 mashed bananas
  • Ā¾ c chocolate chips

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 180Ā°C and grease or line a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl combine the flour, baking soda, salt and chocolate chips. Then stir in the beaten eggs and mashed banana until well mixed.
  3. Pour batter into loaf pan and bake for 60-65 minutes until a skewer comes out clean.
  4. Let the bread cool for 10 minutes before turning onto a wire rack to cool completely.

*Serve straight out of the oven with ice cream or cream or have a cold slice for a sugar hit in the afternoon
